I wasn’t sure I’d be able to cobble together a Picto-Sked for Charlie Chaplin day. I thought some of the early movies that TCM is playing on Thursday might be hard to find ads to represent them. Piece of cake.

A King in New York (1957) turned out to the toughest find since it wasn’t released in the U.S. until the early 1970s.

The Picto-Sked below gathers the entire August 14, 2014 schedule of Charlie Chaplin movies playing on TCM and illustrates each with an actual period newspaper advertisement to give a little extra flavor of the times.

The schedule following below is for movies showing on Turner Classic Movies in the US with all times Eastern Daylight Time.

Thursday’s TCM schedule follows:

6:00 am EDT – Tillie’s Punctured Romance (1914)
