About the Film Weekly Series Postcards
Film Weekly Magazine was in circulation 1928- 1939 prior to merging with Picturegoer, so figure the Film Weekly Series Postcards were issued during that period.
Not sure if they were issued as a supplement or as mail-away premiums, but the cards were obviously associated with the magazine title.
While listed as a postcard because of the size, 3-3/8" X 5-1/4", many of those I have seen have backs that are blank except for an identifying line of text and may just as well be described as a premium or promotional photo.
