50 card set of tobacco cards issued by Ardath in 1934.
Issued out of Great Britain.
Each card measures approximately 1-3/8" x 2-5/8".
The reverse side includes a Ross photo credit at top right; credit to the movie studio the star was associated with at the top left.
Two cards each of Mae West and Marlene Dietrich. 46 other stars featured on one card each.
Colors are dark in tone and several images are extreme close-ups of the film stars leading to a visually interesting collection.
Mostly comprised of major Hollywood stars with a few British and German based film stars included as well. Highlights include the West and Dietrich cards along with Clark Gable, James Cagney, Joan Crawford, Myrna Loy, Gary Cooper and Anna May Wong.
