About these Cards
Set of 144 paper stock trading "cards" issued by the Schoolgirls' Weekly, Schoolgirls' Own and Schoolgirl publications out of England.
A single "Stars of the Silver Screen" album was issued for all 144 cards from across all series.
Paper stock cards likely issued on a sheet to be hand cut to fit the accompanying album. With borders included each card measures approximately 1-5/16" X 2-1/16 inches.
Cards are unnumbered. Backs are blank.
Appears to have been issued in very early 1930s. Mostly Hollywood stars with some British stars included as well.
Keys to this set are separate cards for each Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. Also found in the set are cards of Jean Harlow, Charlie Chaplin, Anna May Wong, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich.
