It’s been well over a year, but I broke out the web cam tonight to record what I hope is the first of many videos talking about Classic Film Books.

This first time around I talk about one of the more recent film biographies I’ve read, Tough Kid: The Life and Films of Frankie Darro by John Gloske. Published by Lulu.com in 2008, Tough Kid is 208 pages including filmography (I mention an index in the video, but actually there isn’t one). Retail price is $21.95 and you can pick it up on Amazon.com through the link below:

Love the vlog! And I’m all for more classic film book reviews/recommendations. Thanks so much for this.

Thanks so much, Raquelle! I’d love to get rid of some of those ums and ahhs that litter my speech, but it’s been over a year since I’ve done a video so I figured what the heck, I’ll sharpen up going forward.

I’m hoping it’s more helpful to actually show the book as I think sometimes we get a little surprised at what arrives when ordering online. Anyway, it seemed like a good fit for video and I’d been wanting to bring the format back to the site.
