Congrats to Terence Towles Canote of the very active and always wonderful blog A Shroud of Thoughts for being selected to be part of TCM’s Fan Favorites feature. You’ll be able to see Terry for a few minutes at the beginning and end of A Hard Day’s Night (1964) on TCM Saturday afternoon (April 11) beginning at 2:15 pm Eastern Time.
While Terry probably prefers to spend his time on Google+, I’ve always done most of my chatting with him through Twitter. Over the past few years he’s been a relentless supporter of whatever I’ve been up to (I think he’s more active promoting my eBooks than I am!) and recently included me in his post about “Old Blogs.” And it’s not just me, Terry is one of the more popular members of the nostalgia crowd that I know through social media because he’s always giving, whether it be his own latest content or sharing work by others. He’ll have a lot of friends tuning in tomorrow!
I’ve always thought of Terry’s blog as the go-to place for celebrity obituaries, but A Shroud of Thoughts really is a home to all facets of pop culture past. You’ll note in the “Old Blogs” post Terry is then celebrating his 2,500th post—well, portions of my site may be older, but I can’t even get within a sniff of halfway there when it comes to those type of numbers!
Check out Terry’s post about being on TCM and don’t forget to tune in for A Hard Day’s Night tomorrow at 2:15 pm Eastern (words I thought I’d never type!). Break a leg, my friend!
