About the 1930’s Quaker Oats Standees
Definitely a grouping of one of the more original old time movie collectibles I’ve run across.
Each of these Quaker Oats Standees measures approximately 7″+ wide at its base and anywhere from 7″ to 7-1/2″ high.
They are printed on thick board that is about 1/32″.
Facsimile signature as well studio name are the only notations on the front.
Backs are typically blank with the exception of a couple I’ve seen with the notation “Produced in the U.S.A.” on back (last image in gallery shows example of this).
Bottom corners are pre-scored and intended to be folded back to allow piece to stand on its own.
Feburary 2012 note: I’ve recently purchased the largest collection of these I’ve ever run across. 29 pieces at all. They are currently listed on eBay. They have all sold.
