Personally I’ll always look back fondly on Jane Russell’s debut in The Outlaw because it was one of those old public domain PBS selections that helped prop open the door for me in appreciating classic movies at an early age. While The Outlaw was far more infamous than good, a ten-year-old with 6 channels could do a lot worse than shoot ’em up cowboys and Russell’s sexy Rio!

A few years ago I’d bought a small collection of vintage Jane Russell still photos and publicity shots and while I didn’t label them as well as I should have back then I’ve tried to correct that in the brand new gallery showing them off below. You’ll find 40 images total in the gallery which also includes the shot shown up above.

There’s also a detailed biography of Jane Russell written by Kendahl Cruver that you want to revisit on one of the older pages of this site.
