I hadn't planned on teasing my next review, but then I noticed this Columbia rarity actually shows up on the 2016 TCM Summer Under the Stars schedule, so I decided to tease away:
That's Edmund Lowe pictured with Evelyn Brent up above, though TCM is playing Attorney for the Defense at 5:00 pm Eastern on August 24 as part of their Constance Cummings day (How awesome that there is such a day!).
Cummings is pictured with Lowe below in a screen capture from my copy of the movie.
Attorney for the Defense is Columbia's entry in the busy 1932 cycle of crooked lawyer movies that were inspired by the exploits of prosecutor turned defense attorney William J. Fallon.
Look for a new post about Attorney for the Defense sometime next week.
