"A blazing tale of clash and combat ..."
Clipped from the Altoona Tribune of Altoona, PA, November 4, 1933, page 4.
I've been sitting on this one for awhile because it's developed into my favorite Richard Dix movie, and I wanted to be sure I did it proper justice. Well, it's playing on Turner Classic Movies late on Thursday night (2:45 am Eastern Time, actually early Friday morning, US schedule) as part of an entire evening of Richard Dix movies that I'm quite excited about—and which you'll surely hear a bit more about from me later this week!
I wish TCM had planted it in the 8 or 10 pm time slot, but hey, I'm just thrilled to see they're playing it. Really hope this gem discovers several new fans by Friday morning!
While I won't guarantee that you'll have the new review in Thursday morning's edition of Classic Movie Daily, I am going to do all I can to have it posted to the site by late Thursday night (And I will guarantee a TCM preview in your mail Thursday morning, so you'll have another alert before it plays).
If you can't wait until it plays later this week you can pick up a copy of the manufactured-on-demand DVD-R direct from the WB Shop, or, for even speedier delivery, can grab it on Amazon HERE.
I agree with the sentiments of this Carroll Daily Herald headline:
Ace of Aces reviewed in this space later this week.
