This actually posted a couple of weeks ago for the Pre-Code Blogathon, but I was so swamped at that time I didn’t get to add images to the post until early Thursday morning.

I launched my Warren William fan site in 2007, so it’s hard even for me to believe I had not posted a biography of Warren to the site until now. Well, it’s there now and it’s a pretty solid piece of cornerstone content for the site. Running about 5,000 words it covers Warren’s background, show biz beginnings, Broadway in the ’20s, Hollywood in the ’30s and ’40s, marriage, and death.

Here’s the link if you’d like to check it out: http://warrenwilliam.com/biography/

And while I illustrated the post rather lavishly, I still had a few scans I wasn’t able to fit in. I’ve included a few below as “Classic Movie Daily” bonus content:

Eric Blore and Warren William

Eric Blore with Warren William in The Lone Wolf Strikes (1940)

(You can click to enlarge any horizontal images such as the one above. Vertical images are presented at full size.)

Warren William and Karen Morley

Warren with Karen Morley in Outcast (1937).

Warren William and Wendy Barrie

Warren with, I believe, Wendy Barrie, in Day-Time Wife (1939)

Warren William in Cleopatra

As Caesar in Cleopatra (1934).

Warren William in Arizona

A bad man in Arizona (1940).
