A huge and varied set of 500 cards across two series in three different sizes, mostly black and white but with several cards issued in full color as well.
Issued in tobacco packs in both Great Britain and South Africa. Handsome books that told the story of the history of cinema were issued for each series. The cards were typically stuck inside the album in the specific spaces allotted for each card. Thus prone to back damage.
This page offers cards from both Volumes of the Wix Cinema Cavalcade sets. Each of the two series consists of 250 different cards. Card sizes are approximately 1-1/2" X 2-5/8", 2-3/16" X 3" and 2-11/16 X 4-1/16". Sizes are stated in each individual sales listing below.
