Wow! Perhaps the most beautiful, certainly one of the most originally designed sets of movie cards are the Garbaty series of 'Moderne Schonheitsgalerie' (Gallery of Modern Beauty) tobacco cards out of Germany. Native German film stars compose the bulk of the Garbaty sets, but several of Hollywood's Stars of the Golden Age appear as well.
This page offers single cards for sale from each Garbaty series of 300 cards (Series 1 and 2). Each of these gorgeous tobacco cards measures approximately 2-1/16" X 2-7/16" and features an array of vibrant colors and ornate border designs from card to card within the set.
